Hi guys,
We have a new tradition of celebrating the 4th of July in Honeyville. It's nice to have a small town parade and win prizes in the 5K!
Dad did the trap shoot this year:
This year the 4th was on a Sunday so most of the celebration was on the 3rd.
We slept over at Grammie's on the 2nd so that we'd be ready bright and early on the 3rd to run a race. It was a beautiful night in our cousins' yard:
Ready to run, or walk if you're a kid or a Mom keeping track of a kid:
It's actually a beautiful course through the mostly flat fields, and the weather is nice in the early morning!:
And also got a lot of little honey bears from the race and the parade. That's cute because it's the Honeyville parade:
The boys wanted to catch the fish again:
Then we had a family lunch and more swimming before we went home. Everyone went to bed early so there was no firework watching that night.
The next day we made a fancy cake for the real 4th:
I love the 4th of July so much. We are so blessed to live in America.
Love,
Mom
