April's Phone Pics

 Life Lately:

We went up to Logan for the USU Spring . Your favorite part was being on the big screen! Thanks Uncle John for getting the pic of us:

Lots of boys:

Pretty mountains back there:
You were excited about petting this dog by us:

The line for ice cream was too long so we decided to go get cheese and chocolate milk instead:
Hammer's first bug house of the season:
Lulu took this recipe and sample to Young Women's and it was a hit:
S'mores night:
Pluto only got the sticky marshmallow off of TJ's hands, no chocolate.

Lulu got a Cafe Rio salad for her amazing report card:
I babysat your new cousin one afternoon. Cutie pie:
And lastly, Lulu and I went up to see your cousin in his musical called Sponge Bob. It was really long but fun to see. We loved the creative staging and props. These balloons were all around the school:

It was a fun month!

Mom

Other April Field Trips

Hi!
Remember these outings? We were looking for a mini arch that I had seen a picture of and found on google maps. First we saw a coyote:
It was a pretty nice trail!:

We finally found it, after sliding down the super steep rocky hill. Luckily Lulu stayed at the top with Pluto because we were doing all we could not to fall down without him pulling on us! Here's the tiny arch:
That wasn't worth the effort, especially since we couldn't get up the other side that has the view of downtown through it, and we couldn't get back up to the trail! Lulu and A went back on the normal trail while the boys and I decided to slide all the way down to the lower trail and try that one:
That was also not a great idea as just a bit up the way it got so steep and washed out that we were holding on to weeds to stop from falling down the mountain. At that point Hammer said "I'm just going straight back up this mountain to the real trail." It was a good idea so we climbed straight up and oh boy was it steep. My legs were sore for days after this. TJ said "This was the most dangerous thing I've ever done, and I'm never going to do it again. I thought at least we got some good pics on my nice camera of Pluto from the top with the view of the city behind him. When we got home I realized that I hadn't had my SD card inside the camera the whole time, and hadn't noticed! I had clicked away taking all these cool pics. I was so bummed. But hey, we did find the arch and can cross it off the list.

One Friday we didn't have a lot of time so we just went to find this spring in Centerville. It gets piped up to a faucet in a church parking lot. Random? Yes. Delicious water with zero taste? Also yes. Popular spot? Yes again.

The boys had some coupons to use for shaved ice at a place not super far from here, so we also added that on to our excursion.

This hike is called Holbrook Trail. We did the lower half, that goes down by the creek. You boys couldn't wait to get in the water and then A said "Why does it feel like ICE?" After I had you pose by the water Lulu stepped back and her foot got all wet. She was a trooper and finished the hike since it was only half a mile each way:
It's hard to tell, but there were tons of yellow wild flowers blooming on the trail:

We ended at a place where there were a bunch of little bridges to epxlore:
Always looking for cool rocks:

We had had Rainbows from a local Bountiful place on our to-try list forever so I splurged and got us all one. It's a slushy with ice cream and it was so yummy:

The next trail is called Shepard Creek trail. We didn't go too far up as we were short on time again:

We found the little teeny creek:
The end! Fun time.

Antelope Island Field Trip

 Hi guys,

We went out to Antelope Island one Friday and met some friends out there. It was actually at the very end of our Spring Break and at the beginning of their Spring Break. We did a few hikes on our own and also walked out on the salty sand and had a picnic with our friends. It was a beautiful day, even though the air wasn't completely clear.

The two hikes that we did had a lot of fun rocks to climb on:

TJ was the only one who actually wanted to get in the water:

We also went on a drive to look for wildlife. We pretty much only saw buffalo, but this guy was really close to that was fun:
Antelope Island is really pretty! I love going out there in the Spring. Thanks for coming along!
Love,
Mom
