Finding Fall Colors

Hi babies,

Every year, as you know, when the weather gets cool at night my mood cools off too, so to speak. I miss summer already! Luckily this has been a beautiful  Fall so far with very warm days to ease me in. The weather is really quite perfect. And of course the leaves changing colors is always awesome. We drove up to our favorite Fall spot at Snow Basin and tried to find some color. We went one weekend and found a little:

Then came back a week later and found a little more:

We were disappointed by how un-vibrant the colors were. I guess it's because we've had a really dry year. We were super excited though that this year we found two new trails. We did part of the Green Pond trail and had to turn around when a bike race came through. We'll be back another time to make it to the pond.
We also found a beaver pond on a little trail up on Snow Basin's property. Really cool! You guys loved it.

It was pretty cold when we were up there since it was sunset,

but I'm glad we squeezed it in before Dad had to go hunting!

We had an hour or so to wait until family pictures so we walked around the campus of USU, and found a place to relax:
